Well, we have only had 2 days here. and the stop has been more educational than anything else. We have been looking round the museum of the Declaration of
Independence and the Constitution, and it has been quite good learning about how the Americans claimed their independence from us in the late 18
th century. Tours take you through where the Declaration was signed, which is now a World Heritage site.
Philadelphia itself is a lot more relaxed than what we were expecting, and it was a very nice surprise after the hustle and bustle of New York. The place where we are staying, the Bank Street Hostel, is in the Old City. This area is very chilled out and feels more like a village than a city, with street side bars, restaurants and cafes - a welcome break from New York.
