Disney, Orlando

After finally accepting that the space launch just wasn't going to happen on 9th December we went for a look around the space center itself. Following this we checked into Pop Century on 10th December ready for our four day tour of the parks. We visited the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Blizzard Beach (water park), Animal Kingdom and MGM Studios. Magic Kingdom was our favourite out of all the parks. The adults here really do become children again. We signed up for the dining plan option which entitled us to a breakfast bagel, and two three course meals. We were completely stuffed! Hats off to the Americans they can really eat! Whilst at the Magic Kingdom we had our our evening meal with a number of very special guests (see the pictures below). As we said earlier we turned into big kids and didn't want to miss the opportunity to have our pictures taken with some of the characters there. The evening fireworks and lazer shows that the parks put on were amazing and although the rides were mainly built for the younger audience we still had a good time.

As the old saying goes, all good things must come to an end, and after four days of fighting crowds at the theme parks we were looking forward to a break. Our next stop is a hotel just outside the Disney resorts so we can visit Sea World. We both enjoyed stroking the Dolphins but it still didn't come close to swimming with them in New Zealand.
